PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to improve the stability of a battery by cutting off the electrical flow inside the secondary battery by separating two leads when increasing the inner temperature of a secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises an electrode assembly(10), a case, a first lead(30), a second lead(50), and a connection/separation member(60). The electrode assembly includes a first electrode plate(12), a second electrode plate, and a separator. The case has an accommodation unit for accommodating electrolytes together with the electrode assembly. The first lead is respectively connected to the fist tab connected to the first electrode plate and the second tab connected to the second electrode plate. The second lead is connected to the first lead. The connection/separation member connects the first lead and the second lead and electrically separates the first lead and the second lead when the internal pressure of the case increases. |
