The container 10 comprises a base 12, a lid 14 configured to fit onto the base, and first 18 and second 28 securing means engageable to secure the lid to the base. Means 38 for disengaging the second securing means is accessible only once the first securing means has been disengaged. The container is preferably a cash cassette for an automated teller machine. After the first securing means has been disengaged, the lid may be moved a limited distance to access the keyhole 38. The container may have a spoiler system wherein the actuation of the spoiler system may actuate a locking member to prevent at least one of the first or second securing means from being disengaged. A securing means for a security container having a spoiler system is also claimed.
