Provided is a stainless-steel sheet for metal masks which is inexpensive, has high strength, generates little dross to attain high productivity, and has excellent durability. This steel sheet contains, in terms of mass%, up to 0.15% C, up to 2.0% Si, up to 4.0% Mn, up to 0.04% P, up to 0.03% S, up to 4.0% Ni, 10-20% Cr, and up to 0.12% N, with the remainder comprising Fe and incidental impurities. The steel sheet has a ?max value of 70-90 and has a metallographic structure which is a two-phase structure consisting of a ferrite phase and a martensite phase. The steel sheet has a solidification completion temperature of 1,450�C or higher. The steel sheet has a solid-liquid coexistence range during the period from a molten state to solidification of 30�C or less. |
