The invention solves in practice the serious threat of piracy and unauthorized reproduction of 3D objects protected by intellectual property rights without the consent of right holders. The invention also prevents unauthorized 3D reproducing or restricted or dangerous items on 3D printers such as weapons, parts of weapons and similar. Right holders and authorities can upload restricted items into the database and their reproduction will be allowed only with proper authorisation or a license. This enforces the law in practice by limiting illegal distribution, not just on paper. |
