The oil separator is comprised of a baffle wall (2) by which the blow-by gas (4) is directed. The direction of flow of the blow-by gas toward the baffle wall is directed and turned back at the baffle wall. The baffle wall is comprised of a grooved surface. The grooved surface is comprised of several grooves (3) which are at the depth of 0.5 mm. The ratio of groove spacing to groove width lies in the range between 0.5 and 1.5. The grooved surface is formed of multiple bars (7). The cross-section of the bars and the grooves are formed in triangular or rectangular.
