摘要 The present invention relates to a device and a method for automatically detecting a water level using a QR code. The device comprises: a communications network connecting a communications line between an image photographing equipment and a server computer to communicate image data relative to the detection of a water level therebetween; the image photographing equipment for transmitting the image data in which a QR code attached to a pier or a dyke and river water are captured to the server computer through the communications network; and the server computer for automatically measuring the water level of a river based on the image data which includes the QR code and the river water which is transmitted from the image photographing equipment connected by the communications network, and transmitting information on the actually measured water level of the river to the registered relevant organizations and managers or the image photographing equipment. Thus, the present invention can utilize an existing fixed monitoring camera used to measure the water level of the river without contacts and can use a portable communication terminal, such as a smartphone, a tablet PC, and others. Accordingly, the present invention does not need hardware equipment including a surveillance camera for measuring the water level so that it can make the device for detecting the water level cheap.
