A device for rubbing a roving of textile fibres consists of at least two pairs of rubbing members 5, 6 arranged in series, each member consisting of an upper rubbing apron 7 (7') and a lower rubbing apron 8 (8') with each apron being disposed at an angle to the path of the roving with one apron moving to the left of the roving and the other moving to the right of the roving. The angle subtended between the aprons of a pair is preferably bisected by the path of the roving. The distance between upper and lower aprons of each pair is adjustable. |
