<p>Noise dampers (41) of sound absorbent material are inserted on the metal grid beams (21) in a suspended ceiling (43). Hangers (40), embedded in a structural ceiling (22), that support the beams (21), are insulated from the beams (21) by the noise dampers (41). Sound vibrations generated in the structural ceiling (22), which is often a floor, are not transmitted through the hangers (40), to the suspended ceiling (43), or to the room, below, but are absorbed in the dampers (41) before reaching the grid beams (21).</p> |
