<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that prevents the visibility of a display portion reproducing images from decreasing. <P>SOLUTION: If a proximity sensor 61 detects an approaching object for a predetermined period of time t1 or more in a range broader than a predetermined range of a display unit 6, a control unit 8 sets the animation reproduction speed of the display unit 6 to a predetermined speed slower than constant speed. Also, after a predetermined period of time t3 longer than the predetermined period of time t1 elapses since the proximity sensor 61 detected the approaching object in the range broader than the predetermined range of the display unit 6, the control unit 8 stops the reproduction of animation and stores a reproduced position at the time of the stopping in a storage unit 7. Further, if the user requests the reproduction of the same animation after the reproduction of the animation was stopped upon the elapse of the predetermined period of time t3 since the detection of the approaching object in the range broader than the predetermined range of the display unit 6, the reproduced position at the time of stop of the reproduction is read from the storage unit 7 and the reproduction of the animation is resumed from that position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
