Cast Iron for forming rolls

The invention relates to the ferrous metallurgy, in particular to the composition of high-strength cast iron for founding forming rolls. Cast iron contains, wt. %: carbon – 3.0-3.6; silicon – 1.1-2.0; manganese - 0.5-0.8; chromium - 0.2-0.5; nickel – 0.6-1.6; titanium 0.3-0.5; copper - 0.3-0.5; tin – 0.2-0.35; aluminum - 0.1-0.3; rare earth metals – 0.05-0.156; hafnium – 0.04-0.08; iron – is the rest. The thermal stability of the proposed cast iron is higher than the known by 16-20 % and it is characterized with a high level of hardness and wear resistance.
