The present invention relates to an image display device and a manufacturing method thereof. The image display device includes: a display panel which includes a first substrate on which a plurality of gate wires and a plurality of data wires are formed to define a plurality of pixel areas and a second substrate which is bonded to the first substrate and includes a plurality of color filter patterns; a plurality of driver ICs which supply a driving signal to drive the display panel; and a flexible printed circuit board which mounts the driver ICs and is connected to the display panel. The first substrate is formed as a display surface by inverting the first substrate and the second substrate on the display panel. After a gate and data flexible printed circuit board is mounted on the non-display area of the first substrate, the gate and data flexible printed circuit board is bent to prevent the gate and data flexible printed circuit board from being separated from the end of the first substrate. A frame pattern is formed to prevent external light from being reflected on a metal pattern which is formed on the non-display area of the first substrate. |
