The present invention relates to an organic light emitting diode device and a manufacturing method thereof. The organic light emitting diode device includes a first electrode, a light emitting member which is formed on the first electrode, a second electrode which is formed on the light emitting member and includes a first material, a protection member which is formed on the second electrode and includes a second material whose absolute value of a standard oxidation potential is larger than the absolute value of the standard oxidation potential of the first material, and a thin film encapsulating layer which is formed on the protection member.
