INTEGRATED NATIONAL CONSTITUENCY TYPE VOTING AND BALLOT COUNTING SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to an integrated national constituency type voting and ballot counting system and a method thereof. The integrated national constituency type voting and ballot counting system is installed on a central server storing information on all constituencies and a pollbook and in polling places in all areas. The system is connected to the central server through a separate line for Internet access and receives personal information of each constituent who visits his/her polling place. The present invention comprises: a local computer receiving constituency information of each constituent by connecting the central server; a ballot paper printer for printing ballot paper containing recognition code including serial number and constituency information and for printing polling paper on which the names of candidates are printed using the constituency information received from the central server; and a ballot counting machine for counting and scanning polling paper and for separating the same. By using the integrated national constituency type voting and ballot counting system and the method thereof, illegal copy of polling paper can be prevented by printing recognition code on polling paper and separating polling paper in each constituency and counting the same can be done automatically by scanning recognition codes when counting votes. Also, a turnout can be increased since people can vote anywhere regardless of their registered address and time required for voting and counting the votes can be reduced.
