Grey iron alloy of high mechanical strength for block of inner combustion motor and head of inner combustion motor, the grey iron alloy including a composition with chemical elements having the following levels: Chromium from about 0.05 to about 0.25%, molybdenum from about 0.05 to about 0.32%, nitrogen from about 0.007 to about 0.013%, copper from about 0.5 to about 0.95% and tin from about 0.01 to about 0.05%; the grey iron alloy of the present invention results from the combined use of the aforementioned elements, in the aforesaid ranges, including carbon, phosphorus, silicon, manganese, sulfur and iron. The alloy of the present invention may be used for producing blocks and heads of inner combustion motors. |
