PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize sunlight heat when surplus sunlight heat is obtained.SOLUTION: A cold heat generation system utilizing sunlight heat includes: a sunlight heat utilizing heat source generator 11 utilizing sunlight heat; an absorption type freezer 15 for generating cold heat by utilizing a heat source generated in the sunlight heat utilizing heat source generator; a sunlight heat source control valve 35 for controlling a supply amount of the heat source generated in the sunlight heat utilizing heat source generator; and a freezer control valve 37 for controlling freezing capacity of the absorption type freezer. A sunlight heat utilizing heat source generator with a rated heat source generation capacity corresponding to rated capacity of the cold heat generation system is used as the sunlight heat utilizing heat source generator and an absorption type freezer with rated freezing capacity exceeding the rated capacity of the cold heat generation system is used as the absorption type freezer. When the absorption type freezer generates cold heat by utilizing the heat source from the sunlight heat utilizing heat source generator, a controller 50 adjusts a set upper limit opening of the freezer control valve in accordance with a heat source generation amount in the sunlight heat utilizing heat source generator.
