PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat insulating box capable of suppressing occurrence of heat bridge phenomenon in a vacuum heat insulating material and saving energy than before.SOLUTION: A heat insulating box 8 is provided with: an inner box 10; an outer box 9; and a vacuum heat insulating materials 1 and a foamed heat insulating material 11, which are filled into the space between the inner box 10 and the outer box 9. A portion of the lower part of the heat insulating box 8 is recessed inward to form a machine compartment 13 in which a compressor 31 is disposed. A single bent vacuum heat insulating material 1 is disposed so as to extend from a bottom 15 of the heat insulating box 8 to an upright wall 14 of the machine compartment 13, the upright wall 14 being raised from the bottom 15. A protrusion 16a which protrudes to the inner box 10 side is formed on the outer box 9 in the area thereof which constitutes at least the upright wall 14. The vacuum heat insulating material 1 which is provided so as to extend from the bottom 15 to the upright wall 14 is provided so as to be in contact with the protrusion 16a and is disposed within the upright wall 14 so as to be away a predetermined distance from the outer box 9 excluding the protrusion 16a. |
