PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an operation generating a double request from being performed at a settlement terminal.SOLUTION: The settlement terminal according to an embodiment includes a card reader, a storage device, settlement request means, and cancellation request means. The card reader reads credit information from a credit card. The storage device stores the credit information read by the card reader. The settlement request means requests a settlement from a settlement device accompanying notice of the credit information stored by the storage device and a settlement amount. The cancellation request means requests a cancellation of the settlement based on the settlement request from the settlement device in response to the inability of obtaining a settlement completion notice to the effect that the settlement in response to the request by the settlement request means has been completed until the time limit lapses after the request has been made. |
