PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber application liquid level measurement device capable of mitigating load of maintenance.SOLUTION: An optical pulse signal is input into a sensor part 2 composed of optical fiber laid in a depth direction of a liquid. Temperature distribution is measured along a laying direction of the sensor part 2 based on return light from the sensor part 2. A liquid level of the liquid at a position where the sensor part 2 is laid based on a change point in the temperature distribution. Thus, a device like a conventional liquid level sensor having a complicated structure becomes unnecessary. That is, regarding temperature sensing, since a principle of measurement of the optical fiber itself is to detect temperature, it is possible to mitigate load of maintenance. |
