A manufacturing device of a display device comprises; a first substrate holding and supporting unit which holds and supports a first substrate; a second substrate holding and supporting unit which holds and supports a second substrate; a displacement meter for measuring the thickness of the first and second substrates which are held and supported by the first and second substrate holding and supporting units; a driving tool which makes the first and second substrate holding and supporting units contiguous relatively with a relative closing rate and bonds the first and second substrate with an adhesive; and a control unit which controls the relative closing rate according to the distance between the first and second substrates. The relative closing rate is set based on reaction force generated in the adhesive according to power added.
