PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical kiln capable of supplying solid fuel onto a hearth while distributing the solid fuel into raw material in a drying temperature-elevating state.SOLUTION: A fluid fuel supply device is connected to a fluid fuel supply port 23 formed on a furnace cover part 20 of a cover wall center part, a solid fuel supply device has a force-feed pipe 6 for force feed of the solid fuel, elongated from a solid fuel supply source, and the force-feed pipe 6 is provided with solid fuel falling pipes 11, 12 hanging from the force-feed pipe on a plurality of positions in the force-feed direction. The solid fuel falling pipe 12 of a downstream edge position in the force feed direction is connected to a solid fuel supply port of the furnace cover part 20, the other each solid fuel falling pipe 11 is rushed and arranged into a raw material storage tank 1, the lower edge opening is located above the upper edge opening of the corresponding raw material supply pipe in the raw material storage tank 1, and at least one side of an exhaust pipe 26 and an extraction pipe of an air-cooling jacket 20A is communicated and connected with the force-feed pipe 6. |
