According to a first embodiment of the present invention, a method for receiving a paging message of a first base station by a terminal which can transmit and receive data to and from the first base station supporting a first radio access technology and a second base station supporting a second radio access technology in a wireless access system supporting a multi-radio access technology (RAT) comprises the following steps of: establishing a connection to the first base station; receiving a second base station connection command message including a paging message transmission instruction from the first base station; establishing a connection to the second base station in response to the second base station connection command message; and monitoring the paging message of the first base station through the first base station or second base station based on the paging message transmission instruction.
