PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor of a rotary electric machine that effectively ensures wide spaces for winding coils between rotor salient poles while holding rotor coils wound around the rotor salient poles.SOLUTION: A rotor 14 of a rotary electric machine includes: a rotor core 24 having a plurality of rotor salient poles 32n and 32s that are arranged along a circumferential direction of a radially outer edge thereof; rotor coils 28n, 28s, 30n, and 30s that are wound around the respective rotor salient poles 32n and 32s; and holding members 50 that are provided so as to close respective slots 34 between the rotor salient poles 32n and 32s. Each of the holding members 50 has: a leg 52 that extends between rotor coils wound around each circumferentially adjacent pair of the rotor salient poles 32n and 32s and that is fixed to the rotor core 24; and beams 54 that extend from a radially outer end of the leg 52 to both sides in the circumferential direction so as to close a radially outer end of each slot 34. The leg 52 of each holding member 50 has protrusions 56 that are formed so as to project in the circumferential direction and that are engaged with coil conductor wires that make up the rotor coils 30n and 30s. |
