PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that extracts color information close to a sense that a person viewing image data feels, generates a text by use of the color information.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a color information extraction part 46 that acquires first information on color information of pixels included in image data; a clustering part 50 that clusters the first information to calculate second information on a color representative of the image data from a result of clustering; and a text addition part 54 that prepares a text by use of the second information to associate it with the image data.
