PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-capacity nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery excellent in cycle characteristics and safety.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: an electrode body including a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material layer formed on a positive electrode core and a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material layer formed on a negative electrode core; and a nonaqueous electrolyte containing a nonaqueous solvent. The nonaqueous solvent contains 25-40 vol.% of ethylene carbonate on the basis of 25°C and 1 atmospheric pressure, the nonaqueous electrolyte contains lithium bis-oxalate borate, the amount of a positive electrode active material contained in the positive electrode active material layer is 100 g or more, the amount of a negative electrode active material contained in the negative electrode active material layer is 50 g or more, and the battery capacity of the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is 15 Ah or more. |
