A load such as a container is made mobile by two wheeled units each comprising a frame 3 having container engaging members 3a, 3b adjacent the ends of transverse beams held in spaced relationship by I beams 3c. Units 4 carrying road wheels 6 are provided with jacks 7a which raise the frame 3 and hence the container to the transport position. The two jacks 7a on each unit are supplied by, 9 pump alternatively, other lifting means may be provided. Vertically adjustable jockey wheels on the frame 3 facilitate positioning of the wheeled units with respect to the container. |
