PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect a signal cost predefined for each signal more suitably.SOLUTION: A time (non-stop time) T for which a vehicle traveling on a specific road can continue to travel without stopping at a signal is saved together with map data. A navigation device, when determining a travel route among candidates for travel routes by making a route search, calculates a link cost and a signal cost for each of the candidates for the travel routes. The signal cost is predefined in the map data for each signal. When the non-stop time T is predefined for the road, cost calculation close to an actual travel is possible not by adding signal costs for all signals, but by excluding signals present before an in-section continuous travel time &Sgr;t reaches or exceeds the non-stop time T from addition objects of signal costs. |
