PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create/select background colors for a plurality of display regions which are set on a screen of a display apparatus.SOLUTION: In a color creation/selection computing section 12, a removal angle range X is removed from a hue circle corresponding to inputted values of lightness V and saturation S. When the number of colors desired to be extracted is defined as Y, in the hue circle excluding the removal angle range X, a color at an angle position of a pitch angle interval of [(360-X)/(Y-1)]° is set as a representative color. When a selection angle of the representative color is defined as Z, a color of a predetermined representative color is defined as a first color, and representative colors at angle positions of integer multiples of the selection angle Z in a counter-clockwise direction from the first color are defined as second and subsequent colors in order, so as to determine the order of the representative colors. The representative colors in the determined order are stored in a color list table 13, and a background color output section 14 outputs the representative colors in order as background colors of display regions. |
