PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition device capable of obtaining distance information with relatively simple processing while reducing a memory capacity, and an object detection apparatus.SOLUTION: An information acquisition device 2 comprises a distance acquisition unit for acquiring distance information on the basis of an actually measured image including a dot pattern whose image is taken by a CMOS image sensor 240 during actual measurement. Dots constituting a dot pattern are arranged according to an arrangement pattern for controlling positions on the dot pattern, for each reference area arranged at a predetermined interval. The information acquisition device 2 sets a window area on an actually measured image, and obtains the distance information, based on a first position that is a position on the actually measured image in the window area and a second position obtained by application of the arrangement pattern to dots contained in the window area. |
