CONTAINER FOR WASTE CONTAMINATED BY RADIOACTIVE SUBSTANCE AND METHOD FOR USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reusable container for waste contaminated by radioactive substances to be used for retention and transport of waste contaminated by radioactive substances which does not need to be treated as a radioactive substance, and a method for using the container.SOLUTION: The container 1 for waste contaminated by radioactive substances is a reusable container for waste contaminated by radioactive substances to be used for retention and transport of waste contaminated by radioactive substances, and includes a container main body 2 having an aperture which can be opened/closed and a lead blocking plate 3 which is attached to an inner surface of the container main body to be freely attachable/detachable. The container for waste contaminated by radioactive substances can block a gamma ray and other radioactive rays if the blocking plate is attached when the container is used for transport and retention of waste contaminated by radioactive substances. In addition the container can be reused if the blocking plate is detached from the container main body after use of the container.
