<p>The present invention provides a method and a system for document printing management and control and source tracking. A printing management service program is deployed and run at a server end. A printing monitoring service program is deployed and run at a client end. The printing management service program is responsible for saving client end information, monitoring and managing a client end computer, setting a printing management policy, and delivering an operation instruction to the client end. The printing monitoring service program is responsible for collecting the client end information, sending the client end information to the server end, and executing the operation instruction. The setting the printing management policy comprises authorizing at least one of the model and the name of a client end printer, the type of the printer, the application type, and the confidentiality level of a printed document, and setting a title sensitive word and document source tracking information. Through the present invention, the control on a printing operation of the client end can be enhanced, the flexibility of setting the printing control policy can be increased, and effective document source tracking and content audit means are provided, thereby preventing important paper documents from being printed randomly and being spread illegally.</p> |
