PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device that can prevent breakage of a mechanism in accompaniment with contact between an operation panel and a discharged paper tray while performing a reduction in dimension of the recording device in a height direction.SOLUTION: A protruding portion 8d of a discharged paper receiving tray 8 is located at a position where being capable of interfering with a lower end portion 5b of an operation panel 5. When the discharged paper receiving tray 8 is retracted by power of a motor in a state that the discharged paper receiving tray 8 is protruded and the operation panel 5 is closed, the protruding portion 8d is downwardly displaced via elastic deformation of an elastic deformation portion 8m. On account of this, the protruding portion 8d can pass under the operation panel 5 without difficulty, breakage of the discharged paper receiving tray 8 and a driving means 42 for causing the discharged paper receiving tray 8 to be subjected to protrusion/retraction operation can be prevented from being incurred, and breakage of an operation panel 5 side can be further prevented from being incurred. |
