PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet discharge device and a characteristic change inspection method capable of precisely detecting a characteristic change of a piezoelectric actuator to stabilize print quality of the droplet discharge device.SOLUTION: In a printer, a measurement signal is applied to a piezoelectric actuator at a timing when a cartridge is attached (S1: YES, S3). When the measurement signal is applied, a current component of a drive current for the piezoelectric actuator corresponding to a first active part is selectively measured (S5). A measurement value which is measured is compared with a reference value which is stored in advance (S7). If a change rate of the measurement value with respect to the reference value equals a threshold value or higher (S9: YES), a voltage level of VDD is changed (S11). |
