PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a NbTi-based superconducting wire that can achieve a high critical current value.SOLUTION: The NbTi-based superconducting wire is formed by combining a NbTi alloy bar with a stabilizing material, and then subjecting the obtained material to a surface-reducing processing. In the step of combining the NbTi alloy bar with the stabilizing material, crystal grains of the NbTi alloy bar have an average circle-equivalent diameter of 200 μm or less. |
