A mobile terminal for outputting an image and a control method thereof are provided. The mobile terminal includes a terminal main body (100), a display unit (151) disposed on a front surface of the main body (100) and configured to display an image, a movement sensor (141) mounted in the main body (100) and configured to sense a movement of the main body (100), a camera sensor (121) activated in response to a movement of the main body (100), and a controller (180) configured to control the direction or orientation of the image on the display according to the user's face location or orientation sensed by the camera sensor (121). In other words, when moving, e.g. rotating, the terminal, the image on the display will be moved, e.g. rotated, so that the movement of the terminal is compensated for the viewing user, giving the user the impression that the image stands still with respect to the eyes of his face, whereby the viewing position of the user is sensed with a camera. |
