PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for correcting engine torque based upon the load on a vehicle, constant drivability being secured during acceleration or deceleration in a variety of vehicle load states.SOLUTION: A method includes the steps of: determining whether determination conditions of a vehicle load are continuously met for a set maintenance time; calculating mean engine torque in the set maintenance time when the determination conditions of the vehicle load are met; determining whether the mean engine torque is larger than set engine torque; calculating the ratio of the mean engine torque and set engine torque when the mean engine torque is larger than the set engine torque; calculating a correction factor using the ratio of the mean engine torque and set engine torque; and calculating engine torque using the correction factor and a set normal torque filter. |
