PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply manufacture a book with a book spine that is concavely and inversely arched and rounded.SOLUTION: An inversely arched and rounded bookbinding method includes: plasticizing a thermoplastic adhesive in a laminated block (1) with a book spine (1a) bound with the thermoplastic adhesive (2); causing a small opening (1b) side of the laminated block to face a receiving die (7) having a V-shaped groove (7a) extending in the vertical direction of the laminated block; pushing this small opening into the V-shaped groove; making a pressing die (8) having a curved surface (8a) extending in the vertical direction of the laminated block face a book spine side of the laminated block; forming an inverse arch while pressing the book spine of the laminated block with the curved surface; performing rounding by pushing the small opening of the laminated block into the V-shaped groove; and then removing the roundness rounded in the small opening of the laminated block. |
