ROLL DEVICE FOR GUIDING HOT MATERIALS

Provided is a guiding roll apparatus made of a hot material guiding the movement (proceeding) of a hot material, such as a piece like a slab continuously casted. The hot material guide roll apparatus of the present invention includes: a plurality of unit rolls provided to be rotated so that the proceeding of hot material is guided on a proceeding route of the hot material; and a sealing means for passage connection communicated between cooling medium passages provided in the unit rolls. According to the present invention, the guiding roll apparatus increases heat transferring efficiency by connecting the (cylindrical) unit rolls and provides, for the cooling medium (coolant) passage connection part of the unit rolls, a sealing means for passage connection so as to at least stably maintain cooling efficiency by blocking water leakage and to have less abrasion even if the unit rolls do not evenly rotate. Therefore, the guiding roll apparatus can ultimately have improved effect of reducing costs by simplifying a roll and extending life time by securing severity of quenching.
