PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound electronic component in which open failure can be avoided even if a wire routed to the bottom face side of a lower flange is disconnected at a corner where the bottom face and the side face of the lower flange cross, in the wound electronic component.SOLUTION: A wound electronic component 1 includes: a core 2 having a winding core 3, an upper flange 4 provided at the upper end of the winding core 3, and a lower flange 5 provided at the lower end of the winding core 3; a conductive wire 6 wound around the winding core 3; and an electrode 7 provided at the lower flange 5 and connected electrically with the end of the wire 6. A reduction part, where the width of the lower flange 5 is reduced in the direction of the bottom face 5b side of the lower flange, is formed entirely or partially on the side face 5s of the lower flange. The electrode 7 is formed to extend from the bottom face 5b of the lower flange to the reduction part, and the wire 6 is connected electrically with the electrode 7 at both positions of the bottom face 5b of the lower flange and the reduction part. |
