PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of suppressing the amount of a cleaning body wound on a take up reel even when the outer diameter of the cleaning body on the take up reel becomes large.SOLUTION: The optical connector cleaning tool comprises: a tool body having a take up reel for winding a cleaning body; a head for pressing the cleaning body on an optical connector; and an extension part extending from the tool body and movably provided on the tool body. The optical connector cleaning tool moves the tool body toward the extension part in the state of pressing the cleaning body on the optical connector by the head to clean the optical connector by the cleaning body and further comprises: a conversion mechanism for converting a relative linear motion between the tool body and the extension part into a rotational motion; and a friction transmission mechanism for transmitting the rotational force of the rotational motion converted by the transmission mechanism to the take up reel by frictional force between a friction member and a friction surface. |
