PURPOSE: An artificial marble including cement and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase viscosity of a resin composition by mixing the cement and a base resin through a hydration method and to obtain excellent strength by solidifying the resin composition through a thermosetting method. CONSTITUTION: An artificial marble comprises a base resin, cement, and a thermosetting hardener. The base resin is selected from a group of acrylic resin, unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy resin, and melamine resin. The thickness of the artificial marble is 0.1 mm - 0.6 mm. A method for manufacturing the artificial marble comprises: a 1st step of mixing the cement and the base resin; and a 2nd step of press-molding the mixture manufactured in the first step. |
