PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device that is provided with ink tubes while being subjected to consideration to a reduction in height of the device and maintenance of a recording function and is integrated with a recording unit and a scanner unit.SOLUTION: A printer 1 comprises a recording unit 2 and a scanner unit 3 with a top portion openable/closable thereof. The recording unit 2 comprises: ink tubes 52 that guide ink fed from an ink tank 48 to a head unit 29 and have flexibility; and a controller that controls the head unit 29 and performs recording on a medium when detecting a depressed state of a switch and does not execute the recording when detecting a non-depressed state of the switch on the basis of the states of the switch that can be depressed and is provided on an upper portion of the recording unit 2. The switch becomes the depressed state in a state that a gap 57 for causing the ink tubes 52 to pass therethrough large enough so as not to block at least ink flow passages inside the ink tubes 52 is formed between the recording unit 2 and the scanner unit 3. |
