PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator ensuring diffusivity of reaction gas, by moving water produced by power generation quickly from the electrode surface, thereby preventing the flooding in the downstream of a gas passage.SOLUTION: A separator for fuel cell includes a reaction gas passage 5 formed of a porous body in contact with a membrane electrode assembly 1 and through which reaction gas flows, and a conductive flat plate 3 in contact with the reaction gas passage 5. A passage groove 17 is formed in the reaction gas passage 5, in the flow direction of reaction gas. Cross section of the passage groove 17 perpendicular to the drawing direction is larger than the average value of cross section of pores in the porous body forming the reaction gas passage 5. The passage groove 17 consists of a plurality of partial grooves 13, 14, and the drawing directions of adjoining partial grooves 13, 14 are different from each other in the direction connecting the conductive flat plate 3 and the membrane electrode assembly 1. |
