PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator allowed to be operated while suppressing power consumption for a fixed time period from time that power saving is required or a user requires power saving.SOLUTION: A refrigerator of this embodiment is a refrigerator including control means for controlling the refrigerator, operation means 11 for providing an instruction to the control means, an evaporator for generating cool air, and defrosting means for defrosting the evaporator and configured so that when a fixed condition is satisfied, defrosting is performed. The control means receives an instruction for performing defrosting start delay control from the operation means and performs the defrosting start delay control in which even when a condition for performing defrosting within a fixed time period is satisfied after receiving the instruction, defrosting is delayed until lapse of the fixed time period. |
