PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when a primary battery or secondary battery is exhausted, a conventional portable gas detector cannot be always used.SOLUTION: The portable gas detector 10 of the present invention includes the following elements: (a) an energy conservation mechanism (power spring 18) for conserving manual mechanical energy; (b) a power generation mechanism (power generator 23) for generating electric power with mechanical energy; (c) an electricity storage section 22 (secondary battery or capacitor) for storing electric power generated by the power generation mechanism; (d) a gas suction port 12 and gas exhaust port 16 disposed in a casing 11; and (e) a fan 24 for producing gas flow from the suction port 12 to the exhaust port 16. |
