PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device capable of always acquiring a desired water intake amount.SOLUTION: An intake device 1 for taking water from a water source such as a river or a mountain stream comprises: a weir 2 for intercepting a part of the water source; a water reservoir 4 provided on the downstream side of the weir 2 and for storing a part of water overflowing the weir 2; an intake pipe 11 for taking water from the water reservoir 4; and a water guide plate 5 provided above the water reservoir 4, configured so that water overflowing the weir 2 can flow down on the water guide plate 5, and set at an inclination angle capable of allowing contaminants 19 contained in water flowing down on the water guide plate 5 naturally flow down. In the water guide plate 5, a plurality of intake holes 8 which separate a part of the contaminants 19 from water overflowing the weir 2 and make a part of water after separating a part of the contaminants 19 flow into the water reservoir 4. |
