PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position indicator that is able to accurately obtain a rotation angle or inclination to a tablet surface and is strong without being damaged by impact, such as drop, even though it is slim.SOLUTION: A position indicator comprises: signal generators TR1 to TR3 configured to generate an AC signal; a plurality of electrodes 13 and 14 arranged in a position indicating part; a switching circuit 16 configured to supply an AC signal to an electrode selected based on a selected pattern predetermined from the electrodes 13 and 14; and pattern information transmitting means 13, 14, and 17 configured to transmit pattern information to a tablet, the pattern information indicating the type of a pattern set when the pattern set by the switching circuit is switched. |
