PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 10-GPON (Passive Optical Network with G bps class data rate) adaptive receiver whose input circuit being able to pass burst-mode data signal of GPON.SOLUTION: A 10-GPON adaptive receiver adaptive for a 10-GPON and a GPON includes: a path for passing a burst-mode signal to a GPON-adaptive receiver as it is; and an input circuit 220 able to set an AC (Alternate Current) coupling time-constant for the 10-GPON or for the GPON as required. The input circuit 220 sets a short time constant for the 10-GPON to receive a 10-GPON burst, and sets a long time constant which does not corrupt a GPON burst, to receive the GPON burst and transmits the burst to a GPON-adaptive receiver as it is. Whether the input circuit 220 sets the time constant for the GPON or not, is determined by checking if a DC (Direct Current) balance is within a predetermined range, by monitoring an existence ratio of "1" and "0" in the burst. |
