PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module in which a plurality of optical element arrays having a plurality of optical elements and a plurality of optical fibers optically connected to each of the optical elements can be highly densely arranged.SOLUTION: An optical module 1 includes a plurality of optical fibers 8 having a core 81 and clad 82, a plurality of optical element arrays 4 configured by arranging a plurality of optical elements 40 optically connected to the optical fibers 8 in a column shape, a lens block 3 having a plurality of lenses 12 optically coupling the optical fibers 8 and the optical elements 40, a plurality of driver ICs 5 electrically connected to the optical elements 40, and a substrate 6 in which the optical element arrays 4 and the driver ICs 5 are mounted on a mounting surface 6a. At least, a part of the optical element arrays 4 is arranged between the plurality of driver ICs 5 on the mounting surface 6a. |
