PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that allows a transfer belt unit to be easily attached/detached in a horizontal direction with a simple mechanism.SOLUTION: When a knob 52 of a lock cover opening/closing knob 50 is located in a horizontal position, a secondary transfer roller 26 held by a secondary transfer roller unit 54 is biased by a biasing member 55 toward a transfer belt unit 3 and engages with the transfer belt unit 3. When the knob 52 is turned counterclockwise up to a vertical position, a plurality of interlocking mechanism engaging parts formed on the rear surface of a body turning part 51 release the lock of a unit lock cover 47 to a device body 1 to separate a transfer belt 8 from a photoreceptor drum 10, and engages with a left edge of an interlocking shaft 58 to move the interlocking shaft 58 rightward. A right edge of the interlocking shaft 58 moves the secondary transfer roller unit 54 rightward via a butting plate 59 against a biasing force of the biasing member 55, to disengage the secondary transfer roller 26 from the transfer belt unit 3. The transfer belt unit 3 can be drawn out immediately after opening the unit lock cover 47 forward. |
