摘要 An array substrate for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to constitute a capacitor of a common electrode and a pixel electrode within a pixel region, thereby increasing the aperture ratio and improving the ratio of transmittance over driving voltage. A gate line, a data line, and a common line(117) are formed above a substrate(122). Herein, the data line crosses the gate line to define a pixel region, and the common line is parallel with the gate line. A thin film transistor is formed correspondingly to a crossing portion of the gate line and the data line. A pixel electrode(118) is formed within the pixel region, wherein the pixel electrode is connected to a drain electrode of the thin film transistor. An organic insulating layer(148) is formed on the resultant substrate including the pixel electrode and the thin film transistor. A common electrode(138) is formed on the organic insulating layer, and connected to the common line.
